Going out in Stockholm is a fun experience and a must. But I want let you know of the rules one have to be aware of in this image-fixated city. Swedish people are famous for being well dressed and beautiful and this is most visible at night, at the clubs.

The city and Ostermalm is like South Kensington and Oxford Circus. Dressing up is a must to get in to the clubs. The bouncers have the right to deny you. The Spy Bar bouncers are known for hand-picking people from the queue. Just the most beautiful are allowed in. And do not get surprised if  you have to wait over 20-40 minutes before you enter a club, even that it is freezing cold outside. So dress warm.

So you have gotten in, you have got your drink and the music is great. Everywhere you see beautiful people. I will give you some tips how to flirt with a Swede. The rules of flirtation are pretty universal but the men and the women in Stockholm are often picky. So it is not an easy venture. When you have found your beauty try to get eye contact. When she or he gives you a smile back instead of the “leave me alone” eye, head over for a chat. Start up an easy conversation, do not throw to many compliments. The person already knows you are attracted to them as you have approached them. Girls are often easier to hook up while going out for a cigarette. Swedish guys, girls do not approach them, if the like you they will approach you. And guys buying girl drinks does not mean they like you or stay chatting with you if they accept the drink. They can just take it and hook back up with their friends.
